Lunar Eclipse in Pisces 28th August 2026
Every six months each person’s natal chart is affected by a solar and a lunar eclipse. In that each eclipse belongs to a unique cycle and each cycle has its own meaning. When an eclipse occurs, it engages and activates with each of us on a personal level as well as on a collective level.
Quick recap on the recent solar eclipse in Leo:-
We have, as we know, just experienced the total solar eclipse in Leo and its effects will be continuing so still pay attention to what that solar eclipse in Leo may have brought you and still yet to bring you. Where you have let someone or something dull your shine and where you need to now be more in the limelight and reclaim your “crown” so to speak. About this lunar eclipse generally:-
A lunar eclipse is a culmination and a culmination has to come before a new beginning. With all eclipses something ends. It is over and done. Non-negotiable. This is all necessary so that something else can begin.
It will more than likely be an emotional time no matter what as with lunar eclipses emotions will be more heightened and intense than that of a full moon. However, this eclipse is a partial one so its effects won’t necessarily be as intense as if it was a total lunar eclipse but more of a subtle but no less significant awareness that patterns of past behaviour should be altered and adjusted.
What this particular lunar eclipse in Pisces is asking of you:-
The lunar eclipse in Pisces is now asking you to bring order, routine and practicality into your daily life and it is a time to sort yourself out and get more organised in your daily practices, whether they be paying better attention to your spiritual practices and especially to your health both physical and mental.
Let go, take back control, and dissolve any limiting beliefs you may have.
The Sun in Virgo, which forms the opposition to the Moon in Pisces, likes practicality and to be analytical, precise even, seeking perfection. But can also be prone to anxiety and be hyper critical and judgemental of both its self and of others. Whereas the Moon in Pisces has a distinct dreaminess to it and just wants to drift off and up into its own fantasy world even and attempt to escape reality. Pisces can be the sign of blurred boundaries and escaping from self-responsibility, being a martyr and avoider of the truth as a Moon in Pisces wants to have faith and believes in a perfect “all is one” connection whereas the Sun in Virgo is asking for a more grounded, practical approach and one based on reality. When you have a Virgo and a Pisces planet in opposition, such as is with a full moon, events can culminate into one of the most difficult to integrate. Virgo and Pisces is considered one of the most difficult of the zodiac axis to come to some sort of resolution.
Be realistic and practical but also be thoughtful and empathic.
Other astrological factors to bear in mind with this eclipse:-
This lunar eclipse is being challenged by Uranus in Gemini as it forms what is known as a T-square at the moment of the lunar eclipse. T-squares can be challenging but are also very dynamic in that they can lead to great success as they can push you into doing things that perhaps you would have normally taken for granted or just not done.
Uranus can disrupt one’s plans and to make shocking revelations and about ingrained narratives as it is in the sign of Gemini. These can relate particularly to thoughts and words. The Moon in Pisces is also opposite Mercury in Virgo at the time of the eclipse so anxiety and over thinking may also play out at this time.
Nevertheless there will be shock endings for sure with Uranus involved in this lunar eclipse.
Fortunately, we will also have Jupiter in Leo making a lovely supportive and beneficial harmonious aspect (a trine) to Saturn in Aries at the time of the eclipse which can help us bring some much-needed structure and discipline to the chaos that may ensue due to the influence of Uranus in Gemini.
What we can each do:-
Pisces works on an intuitive basis so notice what is revealed to you around the eclipse, both before and after it. However, make sure that this intuition isn’t just fear disguised as intuition. Allow your thoughts to settle before coming to any conclusions as it is more about integrating what this eclipse brings up within each of us. Moon in Pisces can bring in deceptions, illusions and confusions so all may not be as it seems, at least to begin with. Acknowledge where things aren’t looking right in your life. Know when the right time is to plan and do and know when the right time is to just let go and surrender.
It is a good idea to watch what you say to people at this time as well as what you say to yourself. See where any unhealthy habits need to be let go of. Utilise discernment.
What area of life will the lunar eclipse affect me?-
It is good to look at where Pisces and Virgo are in your natal chart as these areas will also be of relevance as to where you may need to do a “health check” in the area of your life that they fall in. Where you need to let go, or put an end to unhealthy habits and patterns of behaviour. Bearing in mind also Uranus in Gemini may also change what you thought was real so be prepared to be flexible and adaptable in your thoughts, words, dreams and deeds at this time.
The good news is that the trine between Jupiter and Saturn can help support you with your spiritual growth as well as help you in any new projects that the solar eclipse in Leo has brought to life and light for you.

A bit of extra “homework” for you to do:-
As eclipses come in series and part of an overall cycle it can be helpful to look back 18 years ago, which would be to the summer of 2008 and also even to the summer of 1990, to see what happened in your life around that time along with looking back at global events that took place around these years. There are similarities between now and 2008 in particular. You may get insights as to similar themes that can have meaning for you in 2026 and into 2027 also. If you draw a blank then these August 2026 eclipses won’t be from the family of eclipses, as taking place this summer, that play a significant part in your life for this year. In which case you can relax a bit.
