Uranus in Gemini

Uranus in Gemini moves into Gemini 26th April 2026

There are even more major changes in the Astrological skies right now.

To re-cap - Neptune has recently moved into Aries after being in Pisces since 2012.  Saturn then moved into Aries to join Neptune in Aries in a way not seen since 4361BC.  Not forgetting Pluto making its move into Aquarius in late 2024.

Now we have Uranus moving into Gemini to add some definite changes in the air (pardon the pun as Gemini is an air sign).

The overall theme for Uranus in Gemini is “duality”.

About Uranus: -

Uranus changes sign on average every 7 years as it takes 84 years to go round all 12 zodiac signs.

Uranus has been in the earth sign of Taurus since 2018 which is a slow solid grounded earth sign so we are now moving for the Earth to the sky so to speak.  A totally different type of energy.

Uranus is an outer planet so it is considered as a generational planet so having an effect on a generation of people so as you can see this will have massive implications for all of us irrespective of whether Uranus is making any direct contacts with any of our own natal planets.

Uranus of all the planets is most associated with world affairs and world events.  It is linked to revolutions and innovations in society.  It rules political revolutions, economic change, strikes, political dissidents, wars (where these represent a breakdown of societal order), reforms, new technology and all new ideas and events.

In Mundane Astrology (political or world astrology) it is associated with airports and aircraft, space stations and space ships.  Electricity, power stations, computers and information technology, factories, mass production.  It is also associated with Uranium and hence nuclear energy etc.

Uranus is known as the maverick as it is unpredictable, it is the disruptor as it manifests as extremes and sudden change.  It is a very contrary planet as being both a liberator and a creator of chaos.  A planet of extremes, breakthroughs and breakdowns.

Uranus is meant to break the rules and it is often referred to as “the great awakener”.

Uranus can sure get us out of a rut albeit in an exhausting unexpected way!

Uranus with all its unexpected surprises challenges us to see the world differently and not from the mainstream conventional viewpoint. Some people shy away from those that are seen or appear to be not of the norm of what the current convention and society expects them to behave or indeed look like.

It advocates for freedom, for rebellion and on the one hand it loves humanity and yet on the other it cannot stand people!  People consider Uranus to be advocating for uniqueness and individuality but this isn’t always the case with Uranus in fact.  Uranus can get caught up so much in an ideal that it fails to take into account the individual as a sovereign autonomous being.  “For the greater good over and above individual rights”.  Uranus can get caught up in “group think that can go to extremes”.  This is typical of Aquarius the zodiac sign that Uranus co-rules and the fact that the other co-ruler is Saturn of all planets which is very contradictory.  However, Aquarians also have 2 sides to them.  The ones that are freedom loving and all about community, the greater collective and democratic.  Then on the other hand it can be very autocratic, heartless and intolerant even.

“A common thread for Uranus is that it takes us to places where we have never been before – whether or not we wish to go.”

Uranus is supposed to consider all people equal but some people more equal than others!

We can see this in the way we are being “taught” and “schooled” (Gemini is also about early learning and school) into being accepting of all religions, cultures and genders and advocating democracy but the flip side of this is “if you don’t accept this then we will put you in jail, cancel you etc etc.  Hardly democratic?!

The Hallmark of Uranus is strength of ideology rather than any particular avenue of thought or belief.

About Gemini: -

Gemini is an air sign and it is also mutable which means it is changeable, adaptable but can also be scattered and fragmented.  Gemini loves to collect and disseminate information of all kinds irrespective of whether the information is backed up by experience or truth even!  Gemini is often thought to have little morals; information is information in its books.  Communications in all its form is its forte.  Gemini isn’t bound by any particular beliefs.  Although it is curious about the world and it wants to question and to share the information it has collated.

One side is sociable, friendly, wanting to include everyone and yet suddenly they can about face and be unpredictable, uncaring and gossips.  I have seen Gemini described as being “bipolar”.

Mercury rules the sign of Gemini and Mercury is known as the trickster.

To sum up there are 2 sides to Gemini just as there are 2 sides to Uranus hence the theme of duality.

About Uranus in Gemini: -

This list is not exhaustive but merely a demonstration of what we may encounter with Uranus in Gemini.  I am not trying to predict but just to give you an idea of some of the themes that we may learn about.

We may see more changes in how schools teach young children, more AI driven learning and less human contact.

Further advancements in how babies are conceived even?  Uranus is also about science and creativity after all.

Redefining how we think, speak and how we connect and how we communicate and how we learn.  Changes in wording of important documents or constitutions may feature.  Gemini may at least be more open to hearing and talking to both sides of an argument as it can be detached and not so emotionally involved.

Transhumanism is also very Uranus in Gemini as it is half human and half machine – duality again.  Elon Musk’s’ neurolink is very Uranus in Gemini.  Or 5g and linking up the human body through the internet of bodies is very Uranus in Gemini.  An increasing number of data leaks may also happen.  Just also read that Elon Musk has launched an AI “girlfriend” available for 12-year-olds – that is very Uranus in Gemini!

Uranus in Gemini is likely to be a very chaotic time with a war on free speech a greater threat.  A time of great upheaval but also a time of great technological advancements for both good and not so good.

Disruptions in the communications networks.  Shocks and unexpected information such as scandals and gossip around people whether they be true or not.  Seeing the bigger picture is important to do as Gemini information can appear fragmented so connecting the dots is the thing to do to create the whole bigger picture.

Uranus in Gemini brings changes in societal structure and is known for periods of conflicts as history can attest with the last times Uranus was in Gemini.

1941-1945 – second world war

1859-1865 American civil war (North versus South USA) a division took place 1861 to 1865

1774-1782 the American Revolutionary War

1690-1698 The Salem witch trials were 1692-1693.  Another time of “division”.  Although at the start of the trials Uranus was actually in Capricorn.
