Looking at the numbers
Numerology and Universal year number
A universal year is calculated by simply adding up the numbers to get to a final single digit number e.g. 2025 – 2 +2+5 = 9 a year 9 and for 2026 the calculations is 2 + 2 + 6 = 10 (1 = 0 = 1) a Year 1
This year in 2025 we are in a universal year 9 and 9 is the number of endings, closure, letting go amongst many other things. A 9 year is the end of a cycle.
2026 will be a year 1 so new beginnings independent thinking etc. A 1 year is the beginning of a new cycle.
The similarities with the numbers and the zodiac signs and planets
Aries is like a number 1. independent, innovative, assertive, about the individual, trailblazer, leader not so much a follower. About uniqueness and self-identity.
Pisces is very 9 like. Prone to losing itself and its own identity, tendency for self-sacrifice and also martyrdom, being dreamy not structured, concerned about humanity as in the collective unconscious and is very other worldly.
Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion, confusion and loss but also of spirituality and the divine and perhaps even the connection with God. Neptune is about the “soul”. It also has similarities to number 9 in a way I think.
Saturn is the planet of structure, boundaries, lessons to be learnt, authority, rules and also feelings of being restricted and held back somehow. Saturn is strong minded like a number 1.
Forthcoming Neptune/Saturn conjunction in Aries
Neptune is currently dipping its toe into Aries but dips back into Pisces at various points this year before finally going into Aries fully next year in February 2026 after 14 years of being in Neptune. Also Neptune hasn’t visited the sign of Aries since the between 1861 to 1875 approx so a massive shift in energies. When Neptune finally goes back into Aries and not backtracks into Pisces it will make an important fusing point with Saturn which will also be in Aries. A collision course and fusing of spirituality and the material. Saturn was last in Aries in 1999 which of course was the last year of the 20th century.
Each zodiac sign has a ruling planet that governs so to speak the energies of each zodiac sign. Aries has Mars as its ruling planet and in Roman mythology Mars was thought to be the God of war.
The last time Neptune and Saturn were both in the sign of Aries and at 0 degrees of Aries was in 4361 BC. So, I think we can see what an important time we are living in to have such a rare occurrence. Perhaps this is a signal of the commencement of not just a new cycle but a new era perhaps and one that is better hopefully but who knows as quite frankly anything could happen with such a unique Astrological event about to take place!
This may have a factor in what so many of us may be feeling right now. We are scared of losing something and ourselves but we need to get stronger and more Aries like ready for the new era that’s brewing prior to the conjunction with Saturn and Neptune at 0 degrees in Aries in Feb 2026. A true marker of a new year 1 a new cycle etc.
Looking to history
With both numerology and Astrology we look at cycles and what happened previously in “history” whether this be a few short years or way back in time. History can help us make sense of the present and to look for in future “trends”.
The only recorded time that this forthcoming Neptune in Aries and Saturn in Aries conjunction at 0 (zero) degrees in Aries was in 4361 BC – around this time was thought to be the beginning of the historical world as we know it.
When Neptune was last in Aries which was during 1861 to 1865 there was civil war in America.
When Saturn was last in Aries was in 1999 the end of the 20th century a time when we were all worried that computers would crash and planes fall out of the sky as a result and there was a fear in a way of what 1st January 2000 could bring!
